Dr. Javad Dorosti

Citizenship: U.S.A.

Degree: Ph.D. in Solid State Electronics

Dr. Dorosti is the Director of MSE Programs, College of Engineering at San Jose State University where he also teaches engineering courses in the MSE program and mentors young engineering students showing an interest in launching a high tech startup.

He serves on the following committees: MSE Steering; College of Engineering Curriculum; High Tech Management; and Entrepreneurship Excellence. Jim has extensive experience with Fortune 500 and start-up businesses in the semiconductor industry, and a unique record in managing both technical organizations as well as Corporate Total Quality Management Systems (TQMS). While with companies such as Hyundai Electronics, Advanced Micro Devices, and VLSI Technology, he established a proven track record of developing competitive new products and technologies, and successfully transferring new products into manufacturing with high yields. Jim received his Ph.D. in Solid State Electronics from the University of California, Los Angeles and M.S. in Electronics from Michigan State.
